1. Sundroid calculates sunrise and sunset times, moonrise and moonset times, lunar phase, and planet rise and set times for any date and any location on Earth. No ads. No trackers. No spyware. No in-app purchases. Free and open source.
2. This is a newly rebuilt version of an app last available on Google Play in 2015, and most of the features that were once included in Sundroid Pro will be made available for free over the coming months, if supporting them on current phones is possible.
3. Privacy note: This app will ask for location permission if you want to view times for your current location, but will work without it if you use the map and search features instead.
4. Permission to update your location while the app is not running is also required if you use the widgets auto location feature.
5. Landscape and tablet support is temporarily disabled - we're working on that!
6. Nothing you do is recorded by us or sent to our servers.
1. It would nice if 'Solar midnight' could be added to the 'Day in detail' screen as well as made an event (For UTC/GMT time zone it will change during the year from before to after 'clock' midnight and therefore move between the end and the beginning of day) and also have solar noon/midnight as an option on the 'calendars' list.
2. I've used this since my Galaxy S3 days and it worked with my S8, but I have missed it since I got my S10 last fall.I'm using Sundroid on my Samsung tablet which spends most of its time on its side in a cradle on my Bluetooth keyboard.
3. The other functions are useful occasionally, but most of the time all I need is the time of sunset and for this, having it on screen without needing to open an app is great.Hello, I really appreciate your application, its precision and its simplicity of use.
4. The only thing I miss from the old version is being able to chose different data for the widgets, although the information is in the app and it is super easy to open from the widget.Just come across this great app.
5. I have a question: on the lunar page, what does "transit" mean, the hour and the degree which are given below?5/16/2023: I'm not seeing a choice for Pacific Daylight Time zone anywhere in settings.
6. But why can't this be sized 2×1 or even 1×1? The widget showing both sunrise/sunset and moonrise/moonset is 2×1, but the sun-only widget can't be made so conveniently small - hence I can't use it, but it would be much easier to see at a quick glance.
7. One disappointment is that the calendar list view either allows you to view sunrise/sunset times or duration, but not both at the same time.
8. Twilight calendar is very useful this time of year when I'm trying to get outside and squeeze more light from these short days.
9. Thanks for a great app.So far, I'm really impressed with this app! I'm a gardener & really needed a good sunrise sunset calendar that is stable & accurate.
10. The app also offers a nice choice of widgets.I have been a very impressed user of sundroid pro for many years.
11. With the widget the option to choose which set of figures you want to see (same list as the calendar) would be fantastic.
