1. If you want to use two devices, both with spacedesk installed... You have to turn off the Windows part, even if you're only transfering files from one device.... Be better to control the connection from the devices not Windows, ya think?This app works great.

2. But it does work for WiFi.Works nice until you want to turn it off and transfer files from your phone... I even uninstalled the app... no go.

5. My work requires a second monitor but i needed something that was portable for traveling so I decided to try this out on an old tablet I had lying around that wasn't getting much use.

6. When I activate it by plugging in the USB cable, my tablet shows a screen, and I can open programs, but it screws up the mouse scaling on the host machine.

7. There doesn't seem to be anything to adjust it.Works flawlessly! I wanted to use an old Android phone I have as a display for PC monitoring software (HWiNFO).

8. Later, when I turned it back on, I could never get the USB connection to work with those devices (my phone still prompted for a USB connection when I plugged it in, though).

9. The mouse pointer and click location are the same in the bottom left corner of the screen, but as you move the mouse up or to the right, it tracks farther and farther off.

10. It also works with Chromebooks but set your bar at the bottom of your Chromebook to auto-hide for full resolution and to maintain the correct aspect ratio (no distortion).

11. However, I'd recommend adding a click button, so you'd therefore be able to click without accidentally moving the mouse, and another button for right clicks would be very neat as well.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix spacedesk Issues

1. Fix spacedesk Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart spacedesk: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the spacedesk App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "spacedesk" » Open spacedesk - USB Display for PC » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for spacedesk » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear spacedesk - USB Display for PC app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from spacedesk servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "spacedesk - USB Display for PC" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check spacedesk app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, spacedesk might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall spacedesk. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall spacedesk then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing spacedesk not working


2. Fix spacedesk Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make spacedesk be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to spacedesk not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, spacedesk may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
