1. I hope they finally fix this problem but it hasn't happenedI have been paying $9.99 per year for 4 years to get automatic sync, but I somehow lost my most important note (my list of diabetic blood sugar readings for 4 years).

2. I'm happy while developer adjusts to changes.Very easy to use but very hard to sync... I have been trying to log into sync my notes, also if you don't log in there is an extreme limitation on the number of tags or notebooks that you can have.

3. I uninstalled Gnotes to see if reinstalling it might fix it, and it emailed me saying that uninstalling it would not stop the subscription charges.What happened?? I have been a paid subscriber since 2017 and have loved this app.

4. Not happySimilar to other reviewers, I loved this (formerly FREE) app in the past and, as a Google user in most areas of my life, it was great having everything synced to the same account.

5. You can import back them to the app even if you are not signed into any account.This way at least you can read and keep the old notes & make new ones.

6. Now as of this month it stopped letting me sync my notes tho.

7. From reading other reviews I've concluded it's bc they changed the app subscription "rules", but w/I telling us...I would give it 5 stars because this is/was my favorite notepad app from 2013.

8. This is the 2nd year I had an automatic payment set up where they withdrew the annual fee and have not given me credit on my account so I went from having a pro account to a standard account or is asking me to pay to get the pro account.

9. I backed all of my online gmail Notes up to a local directory by exporting the Notes folder.

10. My subscription just renewed and now it is not showing that I have the premium version and is not syncing between my devices.

11. In case you are still signed in on the app I recommend you to export all your notes and save it to a computer.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix GNotes Issues

1. Fix GNotes Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart GNotes: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the GNotes App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GNotes" » Open GNotes - Note, Notepad & Memo » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GNotes » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear GNotes - Note, Notepad & Memo app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GNotes servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GNotes - Note, Notepad & Memo" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check GNotes app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GNotes might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall GNotes. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GNotes then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing GNotes not working


2. Fix GNotes Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make GNotes be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to GNotes not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, GNotes may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Hello. I accidentally signed out of GNotes on my iPhone and I do not remember my password. I have tried resetting the password several times and I am able to reset the password. However, when I try and log in with the new info it says invalid user id and/or password. Please help!

Hi, I am trying to reset my password as I have forgotten it. I get the password link but when i click on it it says link is invalid. however it lets me type in new password and also says password has been reset. When I try to sign in it says invalid user name or password, when I try to reset password it says user name does not exist. If I tri to create an account, it says my user name already exists. How can I sign in?

I have a subscription to GNotes (set up on Dec 7, 2021) and i'm trying to log in on a browser (because my phone broke) at https://www.gnotes.me/user#/login and it's telling me that my account (katdefroy@redacted) does not exist. But on my receipt for the Gnotes membership it clearly states that it's for the account (katdefroy@redacted). SO now I'm wondering... what am I paying for? and how do I access my notes from a browser? Thanks in advance!

I have had a Gnotes app for years, first with an android and now with my iPhone. I recently inadvertently signed out and now I can’t get back in. I tried resetting my password (I didn’t even know I had a password with this) and it keeps coming back with the message ‘Sorry, your user name does not exist (blomstkvinde@redacted). Help!!! I have so much important information in there!

Dear Customer Service, I am contacting you as I lost all of my notes after reinstalling the app - it crashed somehow. I am wondering if there is any chance to retrieve all the information as it is very important to me. I am assuming the app was saving in a cloud platform as It was syncing every now and then. Hi there, I have been using Gnotes for many years. What happens to me all the time and is a problem right now is that I'll go to use a feature and it will tell me it's only a feature of the pro version of the app and it will say "upgrade here" but I already pay for the upgraded version & I have been every single year for ~7-9 years now. So for example today I wanted to set it to auto sync so it will just sync on its own without me having to do it and it won't do it because it says I need to upgrade; I know that I don't need to so why does this happen all the time? How come out won't recognize that I already have pro & how can this problem be solved? Thanks for your help
