1. Eventually had to turn off notifications because there were so many but when I check my local area the sightings that had been coming through when notifications were on didn't show up so basically this app is now useless to me.Does not save location, favourite beaches does not work, aerial detection icon completely wrong.
2. How it was ever released without proper testing is still a mystery (bugs included no feedback,no push notification, no selection of favourite beach).Over the last few days, it has again dropped my favourite beaches.
3. The app can't save my fav beaches, do it's sending me notifications all the time, even during the time I marked as Do not disturb! What's the point? Can you properly test your app? It could be a very valuable tool but I have no trust it's accurate when the app is not even working with it's basic settings.Just installed it.
4. If not near a beach, just set a default location as it does now.I was hoping the app had been fixed by now considering the importance of this info.
5. All previous reviews remain accurate, app regularly crashes, when you click on the sighting in your area you get the whole list of shark sightings across a huge coastline, not just the one you click on.
6. Demanding that the user go to Android setting to turn on location, instead of requesting it directly like other apps? Typical of what you would expect from a government app.
7. Trying Dorsal. Can't save favourite beaches so I continued to get all of the alerts.
8. Doesn't deserve even 1 star.March 23:After a year of providing feedback, basic App functionality was finally fixed.
9. I would suggest that you include coloured pins that indicate shark activity, (ie red/amber/blue), and also list "last detection", if any.
10. Cannot even add favourite beaches as the app seems to be incapable of doing so.
11. On top of that, the map for me took over a minute to display.March 2023 update - notification issue seems to be fixed.
