1. This free app offers all the latest Irish and international headlines, breaking news, live news bulletins, latest sport results, entertainment updates, audio, video, weather & more.
1. Good Irish news app but still lacking search and videos play erratically - the video freezes after a few secs but the audio keeps going.
2. I have a top of the range phone that works without issues with ALL video content but when I play a video on the RTE news App the video pauses while the audio plays as normal.
3. Can the developers tell me why the app tells me I need to have YouTube installed to watch videos when it is installed?? It's been doing this a while now so said I would speak up since nothing changed.I've used this app for years but now it's not a neutral, fact based news organisation anymore.
4. There are often misspelling and typos that any spell checker should have been able to pick up.. There really is NO excuse for any of this at this point and it reflects poorly on the organization...Good news app doesn't update as BBC.
5. Needs updating.I would have thought that a organisation that produces video content would be able to make an android app that can play video content.
6. Google Chrome displays the page perfectly, but if you have RTE News Now installed, Chrome passes control to it so you can't read the page.
7. It displays the news items really badly on my phone with the headline text and other text overlapping so that I can't read either.
8. It shows just how unprofessional RTE staff and management are at doing their job.Great news reporting and in-dept analysis.
9. I un installed and reinstalled it several times, checked permissions, camera access and all last resort measures without progress to the previous excellent access! So now it's gone for good.
10. Let's keep it this way as ads completely ruin the experience, especially on sensitive news videos.
11. I have since cleared the cache (not the data), but unfortunately, it is still not working.the RTE News Now app is a disaster.
