1. It should be technically possible to modify those volumes separately so the listener could mute either.Good luck discovering anything interesting... My default language isn't set to english, so unless I know the exct name of a book, I'm just shown 50 or so books in my langue and I can't find a way to browse the ones in english It is kind-of sad really.

2. 😒Literally had no option but to give up on even trying to get started using this app, generic errors when trying to log in, app says my account doesn't exist, can't change the website language to English as it just reverts back to Dutch, message support and get automated message that they won't respond at this time, was ready to buy a subscription but got fought at every turn1.

4. Shame on you, fix it and keep your customers.Not worth the monthly payment due to a few problems: the worst one is that it often skips a few minutes ahead where the audio book was.

7. Other features could be customize the lapses of time a listener could go back or forward on the book, as of now, you can only do this on 15 seconds jumps.

8. -10/10 And no, I'm not emailing you about it.It has a wide variety of Arabic books, however recently I've been encountering some bugs which 8s really very annoying.

9. With 10 dollar subscription, I can read as much books as humanely possible.

10. However, many books that I wanted to read aren't available in my region.

11. If a book isn't available in my region, it's better not to show it to me at all.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Storytel Issues

1. Fix Storytel Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Storytel: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Storytel App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Storytel" » Open Storytel - Audiobooks & Books » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Storytel » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Storytel - Audiobooks & Books app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Storytel servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Storytel - Audiobooks & Books" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Storytel app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Storytel might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Storytel. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Storytel then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Storytel not working


2. Fix Storytel Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Storytel be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Storytel not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Storytel may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Please cancel my subscription to Storytell immediately. Someone used my phone and started this. I never wanted it, therefore please cancel immediately.
