About My Library

1. Free and ad-free, My Library allows you to store your personal library and to perform a quick search within it. - Add a book to your library by scanning its barcode (title, author, cover, summary, published date, publisher, ... - Sort your library by titles, names, categories, read / unread, ...

2. For intellectual property reasons, real book covers are not allowed on Google Play screenshots.

3. But in the app, you will of course be free to add official covers for your books.

4. Please note that My Library uses many services (like Google Books, Amazon, etc. ) in order to match ISBN numbers and the books you are looking for, therefore if an ISBN number is not found, it is because it is not referenced within those services.

My Library Customer Insights

1. If I could make any suggestions they would be to add an option for another line under series, as some books and comics are crossovers, and it would be nice to add multiple volumes (e.g. 1-3) for omnibus collections.It's absolutely been a delight using this app to document the books in my little library.

2. I'm losing patience so maybe will only track books I care about finding quickly.I have a very large library in my house and have found myself accidentally buying multiple copies.

3. This app makes it easy to add books by just scanning the barcode-if that doesn't work, you can search with key words easily getting results.

4. However, the barcode scanner gets the barcode number instead of the ISBN, so I am having to type titles manually (one book that didn't return an error came back as a box of purple stem wine glasses).

5. However I may still use it to catalog my comics, movies, and video games until I find a solid app that does it all.My Library is easy to use and saves me a lot of money since I've been using the app.

6. Love the no adsThis app has a very clean and user-friendly interface, but the amount of information it populates for books is disappointing.

7. The data set has some pretty obscure books and versions so that helps with cataloguing older titles.

8. The fact that you cannot edit photos you take within the app and the app cannot seem to find the photos I take on my phone's camera app made it not worthwhile for my very large book collection.

9. I loved this app! It's so easy to organize my books and movies and have a wishlist so I know what I don't have.

10. I have over 2000 books in multiple bookcases and unfortunately the books are not in alphabetical order by author.

11. By looking up titles before buying them, I'm no longer buying duplicate books.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix My Library Issues

1. Fix My Library Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart My Library: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the My Library App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "My Library" » Open My Library » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for My Library » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear My Library app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from My Library servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "My Library" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check My Library app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, My Library might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall My Library. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall My Library then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing My Library not working


2. Fix My Library Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make My Library be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to My Library not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, My Library may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
