1. I got rid of ALL cable connections (saves me $100/month) and tried using phone to get the local news ... the radio looks to be the best option for that/local news. The news app would be MUCH better if there were actual categories for articles, not just every article lumped together without direction.
2. Also, the app sends so many pathetic news tid bits via text messaging, can't tell if this is a mirror style format with a repeater.I'm giving it a 3 for this reason, although I understand that you need the advertising for revenue and such it is still kind of annoying that there are so many in the way of the actual news.
3. For example, having categories such as "local news", "national news", "international news", "sports" etc, perhaps with subcategories like "North Sound", "South Sound" to further organize articles.
4. More often than not, it was spam the living hell out of your notifications and then when you actually click on one to see the story it goes to a blank page that says Android users click here if this doesn't work and then when you do it gives you an error page or blank page or maybe sometimes when it feels like it, the Q13 default page.
5. Your data is going everywhere! Ad blocking breaks the live news feed by delaying it indefinitely.
6. After refreshing the screen a commercial shows, followed by either another commercial or back to the news with no sound for either.
7. Now the Live News link doesn't even load a video.
8. This app shows exactly that, they are becoming more political and driven by money over news.
9. This time it takes several refreshes before it works. All is good but...... I can never get the app to upload the photos to submit for the weather. Not as "Live and Local" as I'd prefer.
10. So many ad's block the stories to where you can't read the articles because you lose track of where you are in the story.
11. That's the number one reason I avoid the Q13 app unless absolutely necessary.Q13 has gone down hill since they let walter kelly and the other great ancors go.
