1. App developers are fantastic! After the recent updates, there was a lot of feedback regarding some of the changes, and they actually listened and adjusted things based on that! I've also been in direct contact with the developers about some bugs I've noticed, and they respond quickly and graciously to messages and work to fix problems.Love the content.

Wouldn't bother everyone, but it definitely is a negative for me.Was able to access and enjoy The Bible app before even though there were little issues with it, but now with this new update asking for an email and password to enter - it's a bummer, when you populate those fields it gives you an error, and you can't get through, that bug needs to be exterminated.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Through the Word Issues

1. Fix Through the Word Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Through the Word: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Through the Word App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Through the Word" » Open Through the Word » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Through the Word » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Through the Word app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Through the Word servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Through the Word" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Through the Word app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Through the Word might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Through the Word. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Through the Word then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Through the Word not working


2. Fix Through the Word Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Through the Word be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Through the Word not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Through the Word may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
