Why should I report an Issue with Thingiverse?

1. AppContacter will directly Email your issue/feedback to an apps's customer service once you report an issue and with lots of issues reported, companies will definitely listen to you.
2. Pulling issues faced by users like you is a good way to draw attention of MakerBot Industries, LLC to your problem using the strength of crowds.
3. Importantly, customers can learn from other customers in case the issue is a common problem that has been solved before.

1. If a mobile version of the site would load on my phone, instead of a desktop version, I'd ditch this app because of the levels of annoyance that are reachable while waiting for the next cluster of search results to load, or waiting for a page to load.

2. Wouldn't be a huge issue but I want to see what color configurations a certain thing was printed in and I've had to view at least 100 individual makes rather than taking 10 seconds to scroll through.Don't even waste your time, just use your browser on your mobile device / tablet.

3. That doesn't happen overnight from a couple bugs.It used to work well enough (except that it would go back to the top of the search results after clicking on something and navigating back), but now the search returns 0 results for all search terms, even one that's highlighted on the main page.

4. On mobile app the previews load fine but if you try and scroll through the makes it doesn't load any of the previews, you have to click on each make individually to view the picture.

5. Looks like a while back they made some effort to fix the website, but it seems the app has been pretty much abandoned judging by the login errors, the last update being in May, and the fact that the app currently has a 1.1 rating.

6. So no comments on that aspect.Went from a useless search function to now being unable to log in via the app whatsoever.

7. If you click on a "thing" you can see the photos, but on desktop it has trouble loading previews of both stl files and images.

8. I'll post an update shortly with one or two apps that pull the feeds directly from Thingiverse.Update: can't even login anymore, I'm guessing they have completely dropped support of this app.

9. I used to be able to search on my phone and email myself the files I wanted to print.

10. The only thing i like about this app is that it keeps me logged in, which is more than i can say for the thingiverse website.I've tried this app 2-3 times now thinking it would be fixed.

11. THE APP DOES NOT WORK! Seems like it hasn't been updated in a very, VERY long time.

1. Fix Thingiverse Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Thingiverse: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Thingiverse App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Thingiverse" » Open Thingiverse » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Thingiverse » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Thingiverse app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Thingiverse servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Thingiverse" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Thingiverse app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Thingiverse might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Thingiverse. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Thingiverse then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Thingiverse not working

2. Fix Thingiverse Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Thingiverse be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Thingiverse not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Thingiverse may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
