1. This is a new issue in the last month or two, and essentially means that if I want to see or post comments to a Globe article, I must use a PC or laptop ONLY.App is missing basic features such as font size selector, which makes it less useful than it could be.Been a reader of the Globe since the 80s, so the no complaints about the reporting.

2. I tried it again this month, and there's been marked improvement (General layout, Finance centre, article audio version), but there's still areas that need work: no different font size, no dark mode, no comment function ,search function is very rudimentary , no crossword/suduko.

3. Article audio turns off when the screen is off - so you're expected to constantly keep your phone screen active so you can listen to the audio? It's 2022 and to see such a lack of basic features is disappointingThis app is not that useful.

4. Have to click again to get the article displayed.Each daily edition is cluttered with numerous articles that are days, weeks and even months old.

5. Regarding functionality, it's good, and would be even better with a dark-mode option and, FOR GOD'S SAKE, just list articles on the app from most recent to oldest!! It's almost like they're arranged to be difficult to navigate through, with titles repeated on the same page more often than not.

6. I was quite looking forward to the read article function, until I realized that the screen had to be active for it to play.

7. At the very least, the stale articles, if they must be inserted to pad out the daily edition, should be confined to an "in case you missed it" section at the very bottom of the daily edition.

8. As other reviewers note, articles appear in multiple places and often remain for months after they lose relevance.

9. Additionally, and not sure if this is a Chrome or Globe app issue, but trying to view the G & M desktop site from Chrome on my Android device automatically launches the Globe app.

10. Never again.For whatever reason, this app does not support the "swipe down to force a refresh" function that practically every other Android news app supports.

11. First click open the app, but doesn't load the article.

  5. Uninstall and reinstall The Globe and Mail. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall The Globe and Mail then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing The Globe and Mail not working
