1. I opened the file in notepad hoping that the backup maybe stores the backed up notes as text, but nope, it's all in machine code.

2. It works best with SwiftKey keyboard and its clipboard capacity in saving text on any app or website and copying it or sharing it to Adler notes for creating a new note with tags, rich input, reminders and due dates.

3. So, not a bad app for notes as long as you don't need them in the future.Works great... Just for the love of all things good in this world, remember to backup your notes.

4. The only thing that I have a slight problem with and what us keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that it doesn't have an interface that will auto backup all your notes.

5. A lot of my notes have a lot of data and as you add more lines and text to a note, the title gets smaller and smaller on the main screen.

6. I made a backup of my notes which were emailed to me, reset the phone, and redownloaded the app.

7. Worked well until out of curiosity I tested out the restore backup function and it completely deleted all my important notes.

10. When I went to restore the backup I got a message that says "Just open backup file you created earlier." There's no way to choose a file, just that message, that's it.

11. I'm frustrated that I paid for this app and even more frustrated that I lost literally YEARS of valuable notes because of this POS app and a non-responsive, irresponsible developer.

1. Fix Notepad Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Notepad: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Notepad App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Notepad" » Open Notepad - Notes and Tasks » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Notepad » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Notepad - Notes and Tasks app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Notepad servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Notepad - Notes and Tasks" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Notepad app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Notepad might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Notepad. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Notepad then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Notepad not working

2. Fix Notepad Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Notepad be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Notepad not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Notepad may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
