1. That way one can highlight and copy just the text needed rather than the entire definition.I love this version of Noah Webster's dictionary. There are no others that can compare to THIS version,NONE!! It is a shame how men have adulterated this version by changing the true meaning of words in the more "modern" versions! This version by far is the best!!Excellent.
2. This app is not a complete version of Webster 1828 and contains errors, perhaps even alterations. The definitions of modern dictionaries pale in comparison to the fullness given in these older dictionaries, but also books.
3. THANK YOU Developers! I found this as I was preparing to travel and taking the heavy tome along was just not a practical option.Older dictionaries are increasingly important at a time when powers that be are busy polluting our language with "verbing" and other corrosive, debasing and nauseaing trends they promote—and then normalize in subsequent dictionaries.
4. It should offer the option of displaying all text with a black background and white text for high contrast and good legibility in all environmentsThe Webster’s 1828 Dictionary is one of the best study tools a Christian can have when studying the word of God.
5. Really!!?? A dictionary?! I am so tired of being locked out of using English apps just because I happen to live elsewhere. Please consider changing the copy text feature to a press and hold function.
6. Very highly recommended...The original 1828 Noah Webster Dictionary is truly amazing, but this app is an abridgment making it a pathetic offering compared to the real thing and almost useless.
7. Will there be another version that includes the Etymology and complete definition with the example sentences? Could possibly save and review words... But I am very happy with the app, sleek simple and effective as it is now.
8. Webster 1828 is an excellent alternative for people who realize, for example, that "gift" is not a verb except for natural or divine endowment of a power/faculty.
9. This appears to be part of a deliberate agenda to rewrite history -- a republication of something 200 years old with the salient detail edited out.Very nice but very basic with no settings other than font size adjustment.
10. I have the hardcopy (available online from Christian Book Distributors) and the entry for "sin" is like three full columns, nearly an entire page in a big huge book.
11. You will then see a fullĺ.This one doesn't work, and it is no longer supported, but another version is.
