1. Inexcusable.I installed the app because the website that I was supposed to be able to change the Wifi name and password with says that router information is unavailable.

2. Get on the stick and earn your keep! The service changes to Optimum over a year ago.It works, most of the time.

9. Using the app instead, it references clicking on wifi to make the changes, but the wifi option doesn't even exist.

10. Also, the website is unreadable on my mobile device, either as a mobile web page or as "desktop site," due to the extremely poor design of the page.

11. Can't log in most of the time, due to an error with the configuration file; and when I uninstall and reinstall the app, it still doesn't work (have done this a dozen times) .

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Optimum Support Issues

1. Fix Optimum Support Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Optimum Support: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Optimum Support App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Optimum Support" » Open Optimum Support » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Optimum Support » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Optimum Support app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Optimum Support servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Optimum Support" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Optimum Support app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Optimum Support might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Optimum Support. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Optimum Support then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Optimum Support not working


2. Fix Optimum Support Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Optimum Support be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Optimum Support not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Optimum Support may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
