1. It needs to be fixed I keep getting notifications that it's fixed and I follow the directions and it still does not work and this is happening to my co-workers as well this app needs to be updated this is vital for us to be able to see our schedules.What is happening with this app!?!? I have several shifts I'm scheduled and none are showing up in my app.

2. You may have lost connection to the Internet or have a slow connection" I'm sorry but both wifi and cellular connections are working with internet apps tried using except this.

3. Now I don't know when I am working, can't get messages, or pick up shifts.They say they put measures in place to prevent the app from glitching out, but yet again today I'm getting the "not connected to the internet" again.

4. This is frustrating I'm stranded and need emergency funds and the app doesn't work! What's the point of having us sign up for the app or have it as a perk if it's causing us problems.

5. I work between different buildings and not being able to log in and see my ever changing schedule of buildings I'm supposed to be in is a real nightmare!I can't believe jobs use on shift this app is a problem.

6. When you open the app it still is searching for a connection no matter if you're on internet Wi-Fi or just on phone service it's not working.

7. I usually have no problems with OnShift, but now it keeps saying I'm not connected to the internet when I clearly am, based on all my devices and other apps.

8. EDIT: Every email they send me it's just them resetting my password and saying the issue is resolved.

9. I've tried uninstalling and it is STILL an issue! You keep telling people the SAME thing in their reviews but don't you think you should take a closer look since so many of us are having issues??? Get it together!Still experiencing difficulties.

10. I tried to reset my password, it doesn't send the link through text so I use email.

11. I've been trying for the last three hours to log but I keep getting this message " We are having trouble connecting.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix OnShift Issues

1. Fix OnShift Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart OnShift: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the OnShift App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "OnShift" » Open OnShift Mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for OnShift » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear OnShift Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from OnShift servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "OnShift Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check OnShift app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, OnShift might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall OnShift. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall OnShift then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing OnShift not working


2. Fix OnShift Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make OnShift be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to OnShift not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, OnShift may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
