1. UghI dont even know.. it barely worked before, but since the recent update, it displays text, over other text.. cant click in anything, especially at the top of the page.. its just gone even further down the drain than before.. barely even worth usingEver since the update I am unable to do weekly schedules or see them because everything overlaps making it impossible to read or click on anything at least in (myday) for AAP.

2. My chief bugbear is that it doesn't sync my Outlook contacts so am having to add these manually over time, which is really irritating.

3. It cuts it all off on the right hand side of the screen and it i try to turn my phone to landscape it tells me I have to have it in portrait mode.

8. No matter what I try to look at the information is always cut off on the side with no way to scroll over to see the rest.Trash. Shame I'm forced to use this through my work, but I absolutely hate every single aspect of this app.

9. The problem is still happening after closing the app, restarting my phone, even reinstalling the app (now I can't even log in since the app won't register my touch).

10. You can't go right to the areas you need, having to navigate through the menus every time it signs you out (which is often).

11. Constantly having to change passwords because it doesn't recognize the password I.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Okta Issues

1. Fix Okta Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Okta: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Okta App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Okta" » Open Okta Mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Okta » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Okta Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Okta servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Okta Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Okta app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Okta might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Okta. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Okta then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Okta not working


2. Fix Okta Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Okta be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Okta not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Okta may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
