1. I will not renew my subscription and can not recommend this app...Updated on April 16,2023 and lost all my downloaded issues and app icon is gone from home screen on my Android tablet.

2. To make it worse, the app is too sensitive to accidental sideways motions while scrolling - so it switches to another article - and returning to the one you were reading takes you where? Always to the top.

3. Does seem a bit faster, though, I'll give them that!Updated the app and lost all ability to read saved issues.

1. Fix Scientific American Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Scientific American: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Scientific American App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Scientific American" » Open Scientific American » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Scientific American » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Scientific American app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Scientific American servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Scientific American" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Scientific American app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Scientific American might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Scientific American. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Scientific American then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Scientific American not working
