1. LOL! Guess that's one way to "fix" it!While watching live news, every couple of minutes the screen goes black with the message "an unknown error has occurred".

2. How about updating you app so people can stream the broadcast instead of only seeing old news?I find quite odd that you, Mark Mathis, hardly mentions Oceanside and most times you don't even have it on your maps.

5. So there is that.When I had subscription cable I used to watch KUSI often, now we have only Internet and youtube tv and there is no other way to watch and we don't get a decent antenna signal.

6. All other news apps I have on my devices never stop working in the middle of a broadcast.

7. Terrible interface.It is unfathomable that a station with such a great news department can have such a horrible app.

8. Always been a fan of KUSI News.

9. I have to hit the back button, click to watch again, see yet another commercial and miss part of the segment I was watching.

10. But really wish they would include their syndicated shows after the news broadcast is over.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix KUSI Issues

1. Fix KUSI Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart KUSI: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the KUSI App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "KUSI" » Open KUSI Mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for KUSI » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear KUSI Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from KUSI servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "KUSI Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check KUSI app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, KUSI might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall KUSI. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall KUSI then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing KUSI not working


2. Fix KUSI Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make KUSI be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to KUSI not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, KUSI may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
