1. Secondly, there are other more infrequent times where I'm unable to connect at all, which is also a huge issue.Few months and 2 updates ago, it alerted us to breathing issues that prompted us to seek medical attention (potentially life saving, there!) Up until recently, it has been super reliable and a great parenting tool! But this previous update has almost driven us to getting a different monitor! It takes FOREVER to load, it crashes all the time, and even when "crashed" it continues to kill our device's batteries.

2. We have had this camera for 2 years and have always loved it but the last 6 months or so it's been hard to love something we can't always access! Please send and update to fix these bugsConnectivity is at best "inconsistent" The miku camera we have is great.

3. For a $400 baby monitor, you'd expect reliability and to function in the one capacity it's supposed to, displaying the camera feed.

4. And now the video feed gets jumpy and jumps frames.I'll give 3 stars since it monitors breathing and background audio, otherwise Miku is junk.

5. I leave the app running in the background at night on my phone so we can hear the sound and I don't think there has been a span of more than 1 hour when I check my phone and the app is still current and running.

6. BUT...every time I open the app, I have to wait ~ 15 seconds to connect to the camera, which is not only inconvenient, but a huge problem in my opinion.

7. Example: you have background audio on, you hear baby and want to check, so you open the app, only to have your video freeze.

8. It sits fine for hours, but the minute he starts moving or making noise, the application reloads and spins on a blue screen for 10 minutes.

9. I am deeply disappointed in this product and wish I would have chosen a simple camera and stand alone monitor.

10. Says it keeps a log of all activity even when app is closed (and camera is on), but it often seems to be missing - especially when the app isn't on your screen.

11. I want to love it and give 5 stars, but this inconsistency is too frustrating.Please for the love of all that is holy, release an update that makes the app work.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix MIKU Issues

1. Fix MIKU Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart MIKU: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the MIKU App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "MIKU" » Open MIKU » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for MIKU » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear MIKU app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from MIKU servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MIKU" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check MIKU app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, MIKU might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall MIKU. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall MIKU then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing MIKU not working


2. Fix MIKU Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make MIKU be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to MIKU not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, MIKU may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
