1. Therefore I had no more money to pay a legit company to help me so I had to wait 9 hours in the -13°, cold, middle-of-nowhere mountain road until they "released" the hold on my money so I could request some ACTUAL help! I would give this app negative stars if I could. The app took my payment and no one ever showed up after two hours... Trying to get my money back everytime I get on the app it just keep going to the map..This app is ungodly SLOW.
2. I was given an estimation of 45 to 60 dollars for the service, and when my provider finally arrived there was no update to the estimated charge on the app and no confirmation of a final price.
3. EDIT AFTER REPLY FROM DEVELOPER: The developer replied stating that they need full customer information before they can display pricing because the price varies by location and service needed.
4. UPDATE: The company gave me a ring due to the atypical way my service request was cancelled and responded with an appropriate level of disgust with the techs actions and apologized.Easy to use app for roadside assistance.
5. Try againThe service tech called me directly after booking asking for information the app should have provided and tried to charge me over double the high end estimate given by the app.
6. But when they arrived, after giving me a jump, they tried to sell me a battery I didn't need then told me the price in the app was not the final price and that I need to pay $130.
7. That's why I say you're shady, and I stand by my opinion.Had a dead battery, got a quote $60-85, service provider arrived in 20-25 min.
8. I would have been better off just finding a provider in my own.Asked for all information up front before I could even find out whether the price was decent.
9. I live in NYC and this app automatically found a service provider 45 miles away in long Island instead of one of the countless providers closer to me.
10. Then, the app wanted my payment details before asking my location or giving me an exact price.
11. Mach1 charged me $60, now Mach1 is contacting me for more money saying that the provider says I agreed to pay more.
