1. Guess I'll be going for the 4th option - return the device for a refund.Badly designed app, to say the least, impossible to fine tune the trusted place range, no warning before the battery on the device reaches a level to low to reconnect (20%).

2. We wanted something to help when tracking location during hikes and the device's battery drains very quickly when in motion and away from a signal to "piggy back" on.

3. Seems kind of shady, though it could be just a bug in the app, but after scanning the tracker device, you can only select the two-year subscription option.

4. Update: it turns out I needed to delete other apps to make more memory space - it seems to be working fine now.Just trying to set up subscription in the app and it's already disappointing.

5. I initially had trouble receiving notifications whenever my pup left or arrived at a trusted place but found out that three apps I had for protecting my phone were blocking the notifications.

6. When the device or the app can't reconnect it shows per default the at home at a trusted place screen, even if your pet is a few hundred yards away.

7. The customer service chat feature helped me out, swapped for a new unit, and sent me a label to return the malfunctioning one.

8. I seriously think I'm going to return the device!I have used for the past 9 months and it worked beautifully until it didn't.

9. BUT the paid service for GPS tracking seems to be going down more and more frequently.

1. Fix Jiobit Smart Tag Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Jiobit Smart Tag: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Jiobit Smart Tag App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Jiobit Smart Tag" » Open Jiobit Smart Tag » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Jiobit Smart Tag » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Jiobit Smart Tag app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Jiobit Smart Tag servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Jiobit Smart Tag" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Jiobit Smart Tag app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Jiobit Smart Tag might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Jiobit Smart Tag. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Jiobit Smart Tag then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Jiobit Smart Tag not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Jiobit Smart Tag be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Jiobit Smart Tag not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Jiobit Smart Tag may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
