1. I think the issue is with the video player on the app because I'm able to view the events of I download the video and save it onto my phone gallery, then use my phone's media player to view it.Nothing more frustrating!! Why can I not set a duration for a camera to record activity when I carry the Plus subscription, but only get a 12 second snipit of an activity that is vital to have the full scenario!!?!! The activity is happening right in front of the camera, all subscriptions are designated to each camera, but it only does 12 seconds when the activity is literally still taking place.

2. I have recommended Wyze to all my friends and coworkers who are looking for affordable electronic devices.Easy to use app for viewing events happening in my camera area.

3. The only negative, which needs improvement, is that the notifications tell me packages are in the camera view, but most of the time it is waving branches, not packages.

4. Then on top of that there's 30 minutes of activity that took place when records again!! FRUSTRATED!!I love the Wyze products and app.

5. I have been using Wyze products since 2017 and the app only gets better with age( kind of like a fine wine).

6. I've been using Wyze for several years now and the app gave me trouble just a couple of times and for short periods.

7. PIR detection is not adjustable in the field of view and seems to override all other settings and records everything I don't want, no matter the other detection settings.

8. Most of the time when I open the camera, the waypoints I've created are missing.

9. When I open the waypoint editor I can see them, but not on the camera control screen.

10. The camera is excellent and the app is good except for the waypoint feature.

11. The camera picks up wildlife, people, cars and sends notifications.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Wyze Issues

1. Fix Wyze Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Wyze: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Wyze App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Wyze" » Open Wyze - Make Your Home Smarter » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Wyze » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Wyze - Make Your Home Smarter app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Wyze servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Wyze - Make Your Home Smarter" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Wyze app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Wyze might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Wyze. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Wyze then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Wyze not working


2. Fix Wyze Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Wyze be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Wyze not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Wyze may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Good day. I am requesting that my Wyze account be disabled / deleted, The cameras are no longer being used.
