1. The only reason I'm using it is the free book I got and will likely be ditching this after I finish.Of all the features to be missing, an ebook app doesn't even have a scroll setting? What's worse is the website, where the app is advertised, suggests that there is such a setting; but lo and behold, this version doesn't have it.

2. I am reading a book and turn the page , there is a lag, then it skip pages I try to go back and it will not open , [ pages 10, 106, 146] of my book .

3. It doesn't happen with every page turn but frequently enough to make reading on the app very frustrating! Please fix!the application still needs some polishing.

4. If my hands are wet or dirty, it is very annoying to keep stopping to clean or dry my hands as I work, just to be able to start the book again.This app is terrible.

5. Until that happens, this app will never be my primary go to for audio books.The reader does not work with poor or nonexistent wifi.

6. Too many words and sentences get jarringly cut off, made worse by the fact that each new page can take ages to load.Since the last time i wrote.

7. It is impossible to find the magic "button" to turn the page without accidentally highlighting something instead, or bringing down the menu.

8. It has taken me over two weeks with the book I'm currently reading, and I am only at 30%! This app needs a redesign, stat.This is the worst reading app I've ever used.

9. the reader shows empty pages, the translation does not save the last used language, and the worst thing is that their "black" background is not really black, making my oled display glow in the night and I can't do anything with it.

10. The only reason I even use this app is because of some free audio books I was given that only work on this app.

11. But the whole point of an audio book is the ability to do other tasks as I listen.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Glose Issues

1. Fix Glose Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Glose: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Glose App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Glose" » Open Glose - Social ebook Reader » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Glose » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Glose - Social ebook Reader app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Glose servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Glose - Social ebook Reader" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Glose app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Glose might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Glose. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Glose then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Glose not working


2. Fix Glose Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Glose be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Glose not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Glose may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
