FanFiction.Net Customer Insights

1. Keep up the good work! Update: Recent problem, a bit buggy in the downloaded library, where stories removed from the reading list linger unless i close the app or repeatedly open a different story.I have used the app for years and it is my top choice for a fanfiction site, especially because of the TTS feature.

2. It just takes forever to scroll down and see if I have read it or not! It would help if there were a search option for unread stories in the library.Since the recent updates, the downloads folder and anything to do with it is quite buggy.

3. I can no longer read or listen to stories that I have downloaded and when connected back to the internet, it doesn't give me the option to download anything.

4. I love being able to read offline, I have over 1000 stories in my library and know that I haven't read some of them.

5. The biggest issue though is there is no way to remedy the missing downloads other than by trying to redownload the appThis is the best fanfiction site and the only one I found that has an audio feature.

6. Having the app read it to you like an audiobook is great as well because it frees you up to listen to your story while doing other things.

7. This issue exists with battery optimization turned on and off. With the latest update, all my downloaded stories have disappeared.

8. I used to be able to switch the accent as I prefer a female voice and the default is male but I am unable to change, specifically, to the English (United Kingdom) voice.

9. This is an amazing app!! The only issues I have, and it's increased in frequency over the last year, is that sometimes the stories in my library disappear.

10. I have been using this app to read fanficts since 2009 and the text to speech part since idk when it first came out.I love the app.

11. You can change your avatar picture but that's it.Every single time a new update is released, incredibly annoying bugs follow.

  • Really hope you can help me with this, over 10 years ago I started writing a fic, and it was never finished. I’d completely forgotten about it until now, had a look and it’s still being read and commented on to this day. This made me so happy and want to go back and finish it.

Trouble is, I don’t even think the email I have on that account exists anymore as it’s been so long since I’ve used it. And I don’t remember the password I used for fan fiction. Please please tell me there’s a way I can get the account back.

The email I think was shelby_26@redacted
The username is StarryxEyed, it actually used to be BringingItBack2010 when I started. That’s all the info I know on it, I’m not sure if there was security questions on there but I could answer them too, please help!

  • Ever since the start of lockdown back in March, my parents' concerns regarding explicit content in users' works resulted in my ban from the site. Could you please, PLEASE establish some better rules so I can return to fanfiction reading?
