Audiobooks Customer Insights

1. They refused.Varied collection and the upload service is amazing! Please please give us a dark theme and user defined variable payback speed, as not all narrators speak at the same tone.

2. Anyone who's not super specific / picky in this department will love eStories!!!This could be a great app, but it will not cast to Google Home, which was the only reason for trying it.

3. It used to be a great service, but this is not the same eStories due to the old one having gone under getting bought out.

4. Uploaded audiobooks play in random order, difficult to upload and things are unclear as to why it keeps uploading the same books.

5. We've contacted customer support multiple times and they have let us know that they have an issue with their content provider preventing purchases from being made with no timeline on when the issue will be resolved.

6. Do not risk your giving them your information, it's not worth it.App does not allow you to make purchases with credits.

7. I tried the "end of chapter" option instead (with a longer chapter), but that just seems to run down the timer and then keep playing anyway.

8. I have yet to receive notice.I know I recently paid for two months of credits, but I have no credits in my account, and I'm not a member anymore when I logged on.

9. They take your credit card information, but the credits you get only give you an error when you try to get a book with them.

10. My husband and I spent almost a month going back and forth with customer service and eventually gave up and just cancelled.

11. And I realize there are third-party apps to kill the phone's overall volume, but I'm ALSO using white noise to block out street noise all night.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Audiobooks Issues

1. Fix Audiobooks Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Audiobooks: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Audiobooks App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Audiobooks" » Open Audiobooks by eStories » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Audiobooks » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Audiobooks by eStories app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Audiobooks servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Audiobooks by eStories" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Audiobooks app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Audiobooks might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Audiobooks. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Audiobooks then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Audiobooks not working


2. Fix Audiobooks Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Audiobooks be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Audiobooks not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Audiobooks may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
