1. It makes suggestions when you don't know the right spelling; it provides pronunciation help, both phonetic and verbal; it has an easily accessible thesaurus; the word of the day feature is great; it keeps track of your usage and has many other features.

It's annoying, I'm so disappointed I used this app almost daily.I absolutely love the app and is head and shoulders "better" than Webster, however, the one MASSIVE issue I have is collecting hundreds of favorites only to have them disappear when you get a new phone because these guys can't be bothered with making it possible to create a username and password so we can keep out progress on learning vocabulary.

3. I will gladly update the review once the issue is fixed.Typically, I will click the Word of the Day notification on my phone and read the definition, examples, etc.

4. They are all written in one block text, including completely irritating interruptions by text advertisements which makes reading them not worth the effort.The core functions are great, I use the thesaurus all the time and enjoy learning obscure daily words.

5. Audio pronunciation for a word still gives an error , "sorry, audio pronunciation is not available for this term." I have tried it on my other device and it works.

6. After this most recent update, the notification doesn't open the Word of the Day, it redirects to the main landing page, which requires me to click into the content I'm actually here for.

7. It is worth getting the premium version, also.After October update, I can no longer get the auduble pronunciation of the words.

1. Fix Dictionary.com Premium Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Dictionary.com Premium: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Dictionary.com Premium App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Dictionary.com Premium" » Open Dictionary.com Premium » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Dictionary.com Premium » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Dictionary.com Premium app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Dictionary.com Premium servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Dictionary.com Premium" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Dictionary.com Premium app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Dictionary.com Premium might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Dictionary.com Premium. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Dictionary.com Premium then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Dictionary.com Premium not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Dictionary.com Premium be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
