About HamRadioExam - Technician

HamRadioExam Customer Insights

1. Not sure how this is happening but I have seen this result on more than one practice test.Great way to study to for Amateur Radio exams - there's an app for each test.

2. On occassion, when I get to the end of a practice test and check the results, there will be the statement that I have selected the wrong answer to a question.

3. However, I would MUCH prefer if it had an option to just start with question 1 of the 350* question pool and allow the user to go through them just like one does currently but only after having selected from a "group" of about dozen questions.

4. I have tried reinstall several times.Great app, helped me feel confident about my ability to pass the technician test.

5. *-at least, I think it's about 350 questions in the current Tech pool And same thing eventually for the General Class license study tool.

6. Watson's corresponding apps to prepare for the other tests.Overall, this application is good for review and practice testing for the Technician exam.

7. The problem is that the 'missed' question never showed up during the practive test.

8. There are a few small glitches but overall a good tool to help studying for the test.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix HamRadioExam Issues

1. Fix HamRadioExam Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart HamRadioExam: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the HamRadioExam App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HamRadioExam" » Open HamRadioExam - Technician » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HamRadioExam » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear HamRadioExam - Technician app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HamRadioExam servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HamRadioExam - Technician" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check HamRadioExam app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HamRadioExam might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall HamRadioExam. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HamRadioExam then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HamRadioExam not working


2. Fix HamRadioExam Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HamRadioExam be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to HamRadioExam not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, HamRadioExam may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
