1. I only gave it 4 stars because the mobile app is more limited in that it doesn't allow for the ability to check for alternative words but it's still superior to other translation apps I've used in the past. This is definitely better than any other translator I have tried so far! However, unreliable because too often, it suddenly stops translating unexpectedly and displays a message saying "Access Denied" with explanation that too many requests are being sent to server.
2. I've done the best I could thinking up euphemisms and odd speech patterns that usually end up confusing most other translation software, and I have to say, by far, this is the best software I have ever seen with the ability to accurately interpret and translate in natural and coherent sentences.
3. As a consequence, I have split out my recording in several pieces. My review of this app has gone up incrementally in stars as they have added new features.. The only one I'm really missing now is being able to tap a word and get alternate suggestions.
4. It allows you to toggle between formal and informal speech (I use it for Spanish, mostly), to check for alternative vocabulary words or phrases, and to translate audio.
5. As for the translation quality, it is great for the languages I use it for, other than Japanese and Korean.
6. When compared to other translation apps, DeepL stands out in a good way.
7. The only thing missing would be a dictionary or even a history, but, still, hands down, one of the best translators out there. The desktop version is probably one of the best, if not the best, translators for documents and text I have ever used.
8. Loving to see where this will go in the future and deeply hoping for some sort of keyboard implementation.Really great app! Has provided the most accurate translations so I can chat with foreign friends.
9. Asking for confirmation, or having undo would be nice.Easily the best Japanese translator I’ve ever found or used.
10. It does have alternate phrases, but not a contextual word choice function like the web and dektop versions have on PC.
11. Even in my mother language, I have to continue fluidly speaking, because if I do a pause, the App stops from recording.
