1. suddenly bam! your watch lost the bluetooth connection, (and while it seems Ultimate Alexa isn't at fault, since UA /is/ one of the running bluetooth devices, it may have injected something into the bluetooth stack to cause it to drop) (I'll still give it a 5-star rating, because I can't prove it's UA's fault until I run further tests)... Forgot to mention, I'm using a Moto G Power, and a Garrett Fossil Gen5 watch. This watch version works for me just like my Echo devices.
2. It's not a consistent problem, but here's the gist: When my phone is using wifi, everything works fine, but if I get in my car or for any reason at all, the wifi connection goes down, it kicks the bluetooth connection between the phone and the watch, off! I don't know if this is related to WearOS or Ultimate Alexa, (and I can find out by uninstalling Ultimate Alexa, but haven't tried that yet) ... and it's not 100% consistent, but that is the ONLY time I ever lose the connection.
3. I can use it to turn on and off smart plugs and devices, send IFTTT triggers to open apps and websites on my computer and to control X10 plugs and wall switches, ask questions and get answers, get AcuRite information, get other weather info, set my thermostat to heat or AC and check its temperature, unlock doors, open my garage door, and more! Also, I purchased the watch version, had to reset my Galaxy4 watch, didn't get the app back from the backup, downloaded it again from my stored apps, and it remembered that it had already been purchased.
4. Why Alexa didn't have this service available in the first place is beyond me, but the one-time purchase of the app is better (and cheaper) than the subscription Alexa probably would have charged! I have its icon at the top of my watch apps. So, mostly it's OK, but... why do I have to install and pay for a seperate app to call and sms when this functionality is available on my LTE watch ? Another thing I find irritating is I just want to be able to say "Alexa, call blah" .
5. it would be beneficial if there was an option to permanently keep this running in the background I've noticed that if I clear all running apps from my phone this constantly goes away I would like to keep it up at all times so that it's always listening for the Alexa wake word I don't think that's hard to ask when you get charged for a program twiceI've been having the same connectivity problems many others have been having, and I think I now know why.
6. I won't be purchasing the paid version until both of these things are fixed.I just want a simple app that is free that I can give commands on my watch to turn on my lights and electronics without pulling out my phone.
7. Now if only, I could get Amazon to tell me why Alexa Show always shows tips and suggestions instead of the clock. Are you kidding me??? After the 3rd FULL SCREEN POP-UP AD during the initial setup that is designed to trick users into clicking on the advertisement as if it's part of the setup it is abundantly clear the developers are either nefarious in nature or have no regard for their customers.
8. Absolutely NO option to pay to remove ads was given before the ads started.Since, incredulously, the Amazon Alexa app won't allow a hands-free experience, I was forced to get this app, which is well worth the price to remove the ads, and get it to work with the screen off.
9. How can it be made simpler ?I love having this on my watch,i have smart led bulbs on back patio and love being able to contol this and other lights by speaking into my watch,i have not gotten any ads on this.
10. I don't want to have to say, "Alexa, get Phone Link to call blah"... that's double the time and effort.
11. Here's an additional way to prove it: Go to your watches settings->connectivity->bluetooth, and make sure it's showing a good connection to your phone, and then go to your phone's settings, and turn off wifi.
