BlockerHero Customer Insights
1. I was able to disable the image/video search blocker feature, but it seemed to be a different matter with adding words to the "whitelist." There were more issues than expected with coming across "keywords" that were blacklisted, but the actual word/phrase was not the same as what the app claimed it was.
2. It doesn't do the one thing I downloaded it to do, so kinda disappointingI just downloaded the app and it keeps saying that my wife's email address is invalid in the accountability section.
3. If one function doesn't work like internet blocking, use a different browser like SPIN Brower that doesn't allow specific content.
4. Accountability partners sometimes don't get emails when access to something is requested - and support says they can approve via the app (but they can't since they have an iPhone..). All in all, I don't believe English is the developer's first language and seems to be a thrown-together app that somehow works pretty well.
5. And also when I turn on accountability partner, switching off blocker becomes literally impossible even I write everything correctly it says I am wrong and doesn't turn off.
6. I had to uninstall it out of sheer frustration.It is a great app with unique features like blocking shorts in YouTube and reels in Instagram.
7. Private Internet access is not a browser, but could not enter the random text in time on my phone.
8. This is a great one for broad blocking, like image searches, and pinpoint like keywords.This app seemed close to being great.
9. It has the security, blocking YouTube shorts, can modify blacklisted and whitelisted keywords at will.
10. It does seem to be blocking us from searching adult content on the phone, so that is good.update: I had to delete because it was blocking my VPN.
11. If it were just these things I'd still give it 4 stars, but upon testing whether it even worked or not I was still able to search for and access adult websites fairly easily.
Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix BlockerHero Issues
1. Fix BlockerHero Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:
- Restart BlockerHero: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
- Update the BlockerHero App. Here is how:
- On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "BlockerHero" » Open BlockerHero - Porn Blocker » click "Update".
- On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for BlockerHero » click "UPDATE".
- Clear BlockerHero - Porn Blocker app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from BlockerHero servers.
- On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "BlockerHero - Porn Blocker" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
- Check BlockerHero app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, BlockerHero might not work.
- Uninstall and reinstall BlockerHero. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall BlockerHero then reinstall.
- Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing BlockerHero not working
2. Fix BlockerHero Server issues & Internet Connection
- Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make BlockerHero be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
- Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to BlockerHero not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
- Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, BlockerHero may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Hello, blockerhero my name is arun I have little request to you. Can you please allowed me to reschedule my focus mode. Basically, I have made a mistake I didn't read the guide how to use focus mode in bloclerhero and schedule my focus mode from morning 12clock to midnight 12clock. So, now it's protecting my all apps and I can't use any app and it's creating problems to me as I am a student I need to study see my schedule, college message.
