1. Composed of 13 chapters, each of which is devoted to one aspect of warfare, it has long been praised as the definitive work on military strategies and tactics of its time.
2. This app includes the english e-book and audiobook of the classic strategy book: "The Art of War" (Chinese: 孫子兵法) by Sun Tzu (Sun Zi).
3. The Art of War is one of the oldest and most famous studies of strategy and has had a huge influence on both military planning and beyond.
4. The Art of War is a Chinese military treatise written during the 6th century BC by Sun Tzu.
5. The Art of War has also been applied, with much success, to business and managerial strategies.
1. Have to rotate screen to see full quote Pen and sword.I have always wanted to read this book.. so far it's amazing .. I'm listening to the audio book part now then I'm going to read it .. ads aren't a problem either .. thank you for this app and just throwing an idea out there but could you do the goosebumps series I would love for my kids to hear and read them .. great job with the app.. 5☆s..These guys have made a pretty decent attempt at presenting the material in daily prompts, audio book and read only ability as well.
2. It gets so that these principles get drilled into your head, overlaying everyone's speech, imprinting on every thought... think I might take a break :D Edit: I know I can switch off the notifications, I'm leaving them on purpose ;) Now my only issue is that I can't see the full quote and clicking on it doesn't bring me to the right page.Believe it or not, I do not want my day to be interrupted with little notifications from dead Chinese generals.
3. One thing... I love the daily quote in the notifications area and not sure whether you coded it to dissapear after you touch it but its kinda bitta chinese philosophy there doing not doing, Lao Tzu - Tought me not to impulsively touch the quote, otherwise it would vanish.
4. Was fine as a book, then they added this pointless, annoying feature, with no in-app feature to disable! If it ain't broke, don't fix it.Audio & e-reader are great.
5. A possible upgrade to think of in the future is a version that contains the original scripts with the common interpretations alongside the truest translation as simple notations for the trickier bits would be amazing.
6. Otherwise, it's a good book to have as an occasional reference, but it's not much more than that.I enjoy the simple layout and continuity of the app for reading.
7. What is significant about this is I've started remembering far more of it and in turn seeing it's principles at work in real life situations in real time.
8. It would be great if tappinf a notification could take you to the chapter and section where the quote comes from, though.
9. I personally found it can improve your ability to think clearly and respond instead of react, to difficult, surprising, and devastating situations that occur in life.
10. I read a version of "Utopia" by Thomas More with something similar and it made a world of difference for me.
11. Being a free app, we can barely ask for more.I really like the book and the app, as the lessons and tactics are applicable to day to day life.
