1. This is the most lightweight app available for conduit bending, and is designed for electricians and apprentices who want an app strictly for quick reference when making saddles and offsets.
2. It is not designed to teach you how to bend conduit, but rather to provide electricians and apprentices with quick reference to the most frequently used calculations (offsets and saddles).
3. This app allows an electrician or apprentice to select values for offsets and saddles and be presented with the figures to assist in making a professional installation.
4. When bending larger diameter pipe; Try to avoid having bend marks too close together.
5. This app can be used for electrical metallic tubing (EMT), rigid conduit, PVC, or any pipe for that matter.
6. Because of its simplicity, electricians and apprentices can rely on this app to open fast, not lag, and never crash.
7. This app is intentionally designed to take up very little memory and processor power and minimize battery drain.
8. A bit of advice for the less experienced.
9. Not doing this will cause issues when trying to fit the pipe into your bending device because your bender is bigger too and therefore less accommodating.
1. I use it daily because I'm just too lazy to math at work.Overall, very good app; but for a long offset you can't enter half or quarter inches in the measurement. It's ok but it isn't very flexible just a straight offset or saddle bender You can't put size of conduit in gor minimum offsetwhy is 15 degrees not an option on Offsets? it skips from 10 to 22.5, why? cool simple app other than that.
2. Practice and time with correct info will be very helpful.this is definitely a quick way to calculate offsets and 3 point saddle bends but why not also 4 point saddle bends? and when it comes to picking a measurement for the dept, why is it only set to specific depth measurements, instead of being able to type in your own measurement? that kinda limits the apps capability I thinkGood simple calculations.
3. Also, Electricians run conduit not PIPEOverall it's just for offsets? Not sure yet if it can calculate any other types of bends or gain such as back to back 90°'s etcIt's quick and precise.
4. So installing conduit is a challenge and getting the offsets and saddles correct, or even close, is a challenge.
5. Just plug in your numbers and mark your conduit bend cut and mount.Would be 5/5 if it had 4 point saddles, but aside from that it's solid.
6. @Thomas Brannigan... The four bend saddle is just the same offset on the other end of the pipe.
7. You'll run good pipe on it until you simply don't need the reference. We are not professionals for installing conduit.
8. Any reviews that mention that you can't pick the size of the conduit don't know what they are doing.
9. As for the preset increments, those are enough and will look good and used almost all of the time.
10. Makes life easier and prevents math errors.
11. If you NEED to bend somewhere in between then just adjust for that.
