1. I've tried 5 times, using 2 different android devices but the app always fails.Lots of head scratching trying to get this app to complete setup of my wh2950 weather station.

2. The highlight is that GW1000 allows uploading data to user's own cloud, will try!I set up my weather station using this app a few months back.

3. Data is being sent fine as Wunderground and Ecowitt weather web browsers show live info but app shows just dashed lines.

4. Eventually worked out after a couple of hours of hair pulling that in order for it to complete setup successfully I needed to disable mobile data on my phone.

5. It would go through all steps successfully but then at the last step after having connected to the weather station would pop up the message "connected failed.

6. I will replace my weather station with something that doesn't rely on such a poor app and non existent support.Edit: After many, many tries, finally have something showing up in the app after app "verifies" connectivity with no errors.

7. The console is working fine (data is being received from the weather station) and is connected to wifi.

8. Tried deleting and adding the weather station again, uninstalling and reinstalling the app all to no avail.

9. I can see my data on WunderMap and Ecowitt Weather map, but I cannot see the devices in the app.

10. Then I exit out of that and it gives me a weather underground screen (I'm not using weather underground so this is useless).

11. Is this the fault of the app, or WU? Probably the app, but unless it's fixed, the app is of very limited use beyond configuring the weather station.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix WS View Issues

1. Fix WS View Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart WS View: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the WS View App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "WS View" » Open WS View » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for WS View » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear WS View app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from WS View servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "WS View" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check WS View app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, WS View might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall WS View. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall WS View then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing WS View not working


2. Fix WS View Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make WS View be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to WS View not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, WS View may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
