MoboReader Customer Insights

1. The major downfall is I get so involved in reading a book but I can only read a chapter, maybe 2 a day because of the coin conversion rate being low each day... should be a different way to get coins if you want to keep your readers.

2. I hhabe a problem with earning points then having to wait two to three days for them to be converted into coins to continue reading the book.

3. When advertised it doesn't say anything about having to collect points or pay to get coins to continue to read a book.

4. But, I would love to finish my original before reading 4 chapters at a time, going to another book, stopping after 3 chapters and spending $150/month to support an author whose book should cost less than $30 and seen 5 top movies, with that $150 +.

5. Only a few of the points are converted into coins; making it so you can only read one chapter a day, where as I rather read a whole book in a day.

6. I then made 2 purchases and when I tried to unlock the price increased from 52 to 67 coins! FINE, I purchased them read 20 chapters- and when I went to get the coins I should have gained from reading time and watching the ads EVERYTHING RESET! I'm still shocked! This is so messed up- do betterSo far I think it's a usable app.

7. Just give more coins and longer reading time.Horrible experience, when it comes to completing a book.

8. I understand that authors and the app need to make money but 60 bucks for a book is kinda insane.I only intended on reading the one book,but I have found others on waiting for my book to unlock.

9. And a lot of books use SO many coins just to read one chapter.

10. It ends up costing more to read the book than what it would be if you were able to buy the book outright.

11. Unsure of the conversion of points to cou s since I'm fairly new but the books are good reads, interesting POVs, decently written, wide variety of genre's, and the app itself is easy to use.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix MoboReader Issues

1. Fix MoboReader Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart MoboReader: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the MoboReader App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "MoboReader" » Open MoboReader » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for MoboReader » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear MoboReader app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from MoboReader servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MoboReader" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check MoboReader app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, MoboReader might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall MoboReader. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall MoboReader then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing MoboReader not working


2. Fix MoboReader Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make MoboReader be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to MoboReader not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, MoboReader may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I can’t open anymore chapter’s in the book that I’m reading because when I click on the to be continued place it will not do anything and I need to go to chapter 680 and all of the rest of them that are in the book so I can finish yet and I have bought over $100 worth of coins since I started reading this book and I have plenty left so what do I need to do to fix this problem?   • I am reading substitute wife, and my poor husband and I am on 678 chapter and when I tried to go to the next chapter it went to the wrong page that said to be continue.Update soon and when I clicked on to be continued nothing happened and I have already spend over $100.00 buying coins to read this book. So please fix this problem so I can finish reading this book and don’t ask me to buy any more coins because I could buy several books already paid for the coins and the membership to this website. I almost feel like this is a scam so please fix the problem and prove me wrong.!!!

  • I am a subscriber to the app. When I am reading a book and headed to the next chapter. I am receiving a message telling me to subscribe to save 70%. I have overspent for the chapters. Also, I bought 20 chapters and the app only gave me 5 of those chapters. It seems the app has a glitch.

  • Hello. I'm an author on moboreader. I signed a contract with moboreader 2 weeks ago and I still haven't gotten a feedback. My chapters are also not getting uploaded on the app. It shows that they have been published on the author's center but on the app nothing shows. The missing chapters are chapter 6-13

  • Everytime I buy coins it automatically by the next chapter without me asking it to. I unchecked the box for it not to do that. I am dissatisfied with the app and would like the money back I spent in the app.

  • I have been paying $12.99 each month for unlimited reading. You bill me on the 14th day of each month for the following month. Recently, you already billed me $12.99 on November 14th for December.
