1. Uninstalling and returning the air scale we purchased and hoping Blue Ink Tech's return/refund policy isn't the total fraud that I suspect it is.Seems i have to recalibrate the sensors on EVERY load, and then they are not very accurate...they fluctuate as much as 1500 lbs.

2. WRONG!! When the breadcrumb is 20 miles into a state, that is when it changes what state you are in, this is not good as you can get into big trouble with the state for "falsifying" your IFTA records!! This app needs to use your devices GPS ONLY for this to work properly.

3. One of the sensors quit working after about 9 months, not sure if the sensor went bad or battery died, but being pretty useless to begin with I haven't bothered looking into it.Edit/Reply to BIT: Still freezes on almost every startup.

4. If you are using the IFTA to keep track of your miles, DON'T!!!! Just in the last three weeks, it dd not record miles for 7 states.

5. If you keep your truck cool, it will work fine but if you like to be toasty, you're going to have to modify or find something else.I had to buy a new Ellips tablet from Verizon to get the gps info to work with the app.

6. I will be cancelling my subscription until such a time as they get this one major bug fixed!I've been using this since the ELD mandate and its buggy.

7. Starting off using it, the eld didn't switch to driving automatically for the first couple weeks.

8. I compare this to using google maps for truck routes... only gives a rough estimate.

9. The problem is that it uses breadcrumbs, your ECM odometer reading and the GPS to calculate your state mileages.

10. When the app actually doesn't crash on startup (which is rare) it still fails to function in any aspect.

11. But since the last upgrade the app stopped grabbing the gps data from my tablet.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Blue Ink Tech Issues

1. Fix Blue Ink Tech Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Blue Ink Tech: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Blue Ink Tech App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Blue Ink Tech" » Open Blue Ink Tech » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Blue Ink Tech » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Blue Ink Tech app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Blue Ink Tech servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Blue Ink Tech" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Blue Ink Tech app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Blue Ink Tech might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Blue Ink Tech. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Blue Ink Tech then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Blue Ink Tech not working


2. Fix Blue Ink Tech Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Blue Ink Tech be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Blue Ink Tech not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Blue Ink Tech may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
