Nevertheless car owners should be aware about their car's safety recall.I got to say it's really easy to find tire info your year make and Model of car and what not I haven't tried the other features yet but the Scanning of the Car's Vin should be easier if there isn't a lot of light outside but that's just my only nitpick with it! But if you need a Portable way to check recalls on your car carseats Tires or Equipment look no further! It's a Great AppThe video on their website states that you can scan your VIN.

It simplifies life by alerting you on cars you register with them (if selected).I added this app after being on a search on Google Chrome.

Not sure what all the complaining is about, I had no troubles at all entering my vehicle and my wife's vehicle with the bar code scanner, they must have fixed it or.... would have given 5 stars but I'm waiting for my notification for the fix on my truck to show up first, just to be sure it's working.

It won't let me put the year of my car because it's the 1997 when I downloaded this app and tried to put my car information in it's telling me there's no information to call some some 800 number if I can't use the app the way it's meant to be used then it's not useful to me at all so I guess I'm uninstalling it you don't need to contact me I'm not interested and I will not put it back on my phoneI just updated it today and still having problems with it.

5. You should be able to scan a VIN without having to enter vehicle information first.

10. I haven't received one since 2016.Why can't I add vehicles by VIN? Two vehicles of the same year, make, and model can have different recalls.

11. For some reason you have enter a vague description of the vehicle before you get to the VIN scanning capability.

1. Fix SaferCar Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart SaferCar: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the SaferCar App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "SaferCar" » Open SaferCar » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SaferCar » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear SaferCar app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from SaferCar servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SaferCar" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check SaferCar app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SaferCar might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall SaferCar. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SaferCar then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SaferCar not working

2. Fix SaferCar Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SaferCar be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SaferCar not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SaferCar may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
