1. I just sent an email to support, if I get nothing helpful back from that the dashcam goes back to Costco.maybe this works with an iphone, however, does not connect via WiFi with Android.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Whistler Dash Cam Issues

1. Fix Whistler Dash Cam Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Whistler Dash Cam: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Whistler Dash Cam App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Whistler Dash Cam" » Open Whistler Dash Cam » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Whistler Dash Cam » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Whistler Dash Cam app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Whistler Dash Cam servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Whistler Dash Cam" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Whistler Dash Cam app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Whistler Dash Cam might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Whistler Dash Cam. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Whistler Dash Cam then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Whistler Dash Cam not working
