1. Once that is done, the app doesn't even work properly, not allowing me to unlock any bike, I tried using it on almost all of the available bikes in the lot, nothing! The app either didn't recognise the qr code or, if by a lot of difficulty, it managed to scan it displayed bike is reserved or damaged.

Second, the app's location sensors are faulty, my location cursor kept showing me at locations that are not where I was at (couldn't find a bike because of this and even though I parked at the designated parking area, I had to pay a $5 fee because the app showed that I did not park there).Terrible app.

3. And because its so difficult to navigate the app, it will be hard to see your account details and you may very well be paying repeated without knowing!! Don't be a victim to that.Like the other comments have mentioned, the bike pass is absolutely horrible.

4. The app is buggy and often does not sync well with the bike or the server causing frustrations whne trying to unlock and end trips.

5. In terms of the business, they are trying hard to keep auto renew of bike pass on.

6. It is a total rip-off, i was left with $10 payed and no transportation.Had to top up $10, key in card details, app defaulted, couldn't use the bike.

7. And they auto renew your bike pass without you realising so you end up paying for months before you stop it.

8. It made me pay $10 in advance without the possibility to check if I can actually unlock a bike.

9. Auto deducted monthly subscription from card that I was unaware of, turns out everyone who signs up will be automatically arranged to make monthly subscription payments, told them to resolve this but they just offered a partial refund.

10. The app doesn't tell you that you need a card to unlock, it only tells you that when you are unlocking it, doesn't matter if you have balance in wallet or not.

11. They make you top up money before u can even unlock a bike.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix SG Bike Issues

1. Fix SG Bike Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart SG Bike: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the SG Bike App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "SG Bike" » Open SG Bike » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SG Bike » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear SG Bike app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from SG Bike servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SG Bike" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check SG Bike app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SG Bike might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall SG Bike. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SG Bike then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SG Bike not working


2. Fix SG Bike Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SG Bike be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SG Bike not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SG Bike may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
