1. Is there a possibility for this to be developed still? The quality on mobile seems really good and it is showing accurately an active fire nearby. Its okay, but in the middle of a wildfire emergency the information is just not current enough to be useful, and can even be misleading due to plumes of smoke causing heat readings where no fire is on the ground.
2. Still, i keep Fireguard in my tool kit and bought the paid version so i can keep an eye on areas where my relatives live.Bought the upgrade and the app freezes.
3. Shows a distance when one taps on more info, however, I'm assuming is a distance of one's current location? Not to a specific location elsewhere? One can go to co-ords > Google earth.
4. The user can't see anything beyond the selected location.this app is great for aggregating fire data from different sources into one easy to use app.
5. Show me the smoke! For some reason, the app only sometimes shows the smokey areas in North America.
6. I needed trusty solution as the fires are right near my home in the Santa Cruz mountains so I paid in good faith that it was stable.
7. I do have an Android S23 but have done what developers have said to receive notifications but doesn't work ... would be a 4 or 5 star rating if notifications worked.
8. I especially appreciate being able to build geofences and get alerted about any new starts in that area. Was great when it worked.
9. But nothing I do seems to make the smoke visible on occasion.
10. Thank you to the developer for the smoke explanation.
11. I had another app, can't remember the name, that showed it globally.Testing this app for our area, Western Cape, South Africa.
