My Porsche Customer Insights

1. Porsche needs to get rid of their app designers and find some new people with brain and skills.The app worked for awhile and still does but now I have lost the ability to type in a destination and send it to the car.

2. problems: - inconsistent connections (porsche blames voda, vice versa, and wants my car to be brought in... nope) - amazon login is not failing since last update.

3. It's only happened since the most recent update and didn't have this issue before.New update... this app probably isnt the problem but the porsche engineers and integration partners suck.

4. With every update, something changes, and frequently, a good service is deleted (for example, the ability to fold in side mirrors remotely).

5. Porsche's are sadly famous for draining their battery when not driven, even for relatively short periods, and while I can check almost anything with the app and open the door remotely (???), you can't see your battery status.

6. The app worked at the dealership, then after 2 mos I noticed it stopped working again, server down? It has now been 1 year and I realized it only worked at the dealership.

7. Hopefully less gossip?Jul 12th update to comment: I have sent two emails to customer support and have not received a response back.

8. I haven't been able to connect to my PCM since the last app update in June.

9. Vodaphone claimed service "health" always ok and claimed nothing was wrong, added 6mos to plan.

10. For EVs it may give you charging information, but if you drive a combustion engine 911, there is no way to check your battery status.

11. I called customer service and opened up a work order.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix My Porsche Issues

1. Fix My Porsche Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart My Porsche: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the My Porsche App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "My Porsche" » Open My Porsche » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for My Porsche » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear My Porsche app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from My Porsche servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "My Porsche" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check My Porsche app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, My Porsche might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall My Porsche. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall My Porsche then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing My Porsche not working


2. Fix My Porsche Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make My Porsche be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to My Porsche not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, My Porsche may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
