My AcuRite Customer Insights

1. It's all because AcuRite decided in their infinite wisdom to stop supporting their own smartHUB product that is an integral piece in getting data to the app and other 3rd party weather data collectors.

2. That's more than I paid for the complete weather station! I'm an IT professional and I know full well how easy and inexpensive it would be to maintain a legacy system on their end that would support our smartHUBs.

3. Wish I was an app developer.Like so many others, I can no longer access my 5-in-1 weather station data using this app.

4. The station does NOT link the weather station to the outside, only the raw sensors so if you want inside temperature that's an additional sensor.

5. Thanks, and keep up the great service!I successfully used the 5-in-1 station with Smart Hub and associated web and mobile apps, for 2+ years.

6. However...... I cannot remember a single time when the company simply shut down the current product and "forced" customers into purchasing the new product.

7. Most useful were the data graphs that allowed me to segment specific time periods.

8. Then came the dreaded announcement...... As a career IT professional, I certainly understand the need to update/revise product lines to remain relevant in the market.

9. Doesn't allow you to see data from before January 1st? Only stores 31 day of data? The graphs are pretty lousy too.

10. And their supposed on line chat function is non-existent even though they have disconnected their support phone.Very hard to see current dew point.

11. Cleaned sensor, took it outsidTried to download app after setting up my station.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix My AcuRite Issues

1. Fix My AcuRite Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart My AcuRite: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the My AcuRite App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "My AcuRite" » Open My AcuRite » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for My AcuRite » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear My AcuRite app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from My AcuRite servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "My AcuRite" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check My AcuRite app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, My AcuRite might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall My AcuRite. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall My AcuRite then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing My AcuRite not working


2. Fix My AcuRite Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make My AcuRite be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to My AcuRite not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, My AcuRite may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
