1. Delete SmoothSync Account through Email

There are 2 methods to get your data (and account) deleted by SmoothSync for Cloud Contacts:

  1. Under GDPR: EU/UK Residents have the right to ask (via email), an organization that holds data about them to delete it. This is known as the ‘right to erasure’. Organizations have one month to respond to the request.

  2. Under CCPA: California residents have the right to request that a company delete the data/personal information it has on them. A failure to comply with this will result in a fine of upto $7,500.

Alternatively, you can follow these steps below to get SmoothSync to delete your account/data:

  1. On iphone, Goto "Settings "
  2. Click on "General" » "Iphone Storage".
  3. Select the app, and click "Delete SmoothSync for Cloud Contacts".

  1. Go to your Android phone Settings.
  2. Click on "Apps & Games".
  3. Select "SmoothSync for Cloud Contacts" and Click "Uninstall".

1. Samsung S5 users: Please note that some S5 devices come with a broken contacts app that crashes when opening a contact synced by this app.

2. Due to its implementation as sync adapter it integrates seamlessly with the native contacts app and operates invisible in the background.

3. This app is bundled with Contact Editor Pro to allow you to edit synced contacts on pre-Android 4 devices.

4. Just enter your account data and SmoothSync will keep your contacts in sync.

5. SmoothSync for Cloud Contacts syncs your iCloud contacts.

6. As of Android 4.2 this issue is fixed and the workaround no longer necessary (except for Samsung devices), please uninstall it.

7. Important! If your phone removes the accounts on reboot, move the App back from SD card to the phone.

8. Some phones (if not all) can't handle sync adapters on SD Card properly.

9. iCloud and Apple are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.

10. Please report any crashes to Samsung.
