Edit: they changed the linked to say that a more stable version is coming soon but it still requires you to login with Gmail so I refuse to follow it for now.I've been using both the Hiragana Pro and Katakana Pro apps, I got the paid version for both of them, and I absolutely do not regret it! It's "gameplay" system is extremely efficient and weirdly addicting, not to mention the different challenges, it's super useful!!! The only thing that I feel that is missing, is an inverse quiz, like, instead of giving us the Hira/Kata and then asking what's the sound of that, there could be an option in which we could guess the Hira/Kata based on its soundGreat app.

Happy to update back to 5 stars when the app works again.Apparently this person is experiencing some sort of hardship and decided to make the app not function any longer unless you follow their link that says "I AM HOMELESS".... I'm not going to click it because it requires logging in to Google.

3. I was stumped for a while with Katakana, but using this app in conjunction with the JapanesePod101's Katakana videos, I was able to make more progress in one day than I have done in several months.

4. I'm glad to see it's working again! For the past couple weeks I wasn't using it because it wouldn't let me hit the back button in the upper right hand corner so my progress never got saved.

5. The icons should be adaptive since not everyone using samsung or pixel phones and its best to let the phone's launcher to cut icons as with other apps.

1. Fix Katakana Pro Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Katakana Pro: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Katakana Pro App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Katakana Pro" » Open Katakana Pro » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Katakana Pro » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Katakana Pro app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Katakana Pro servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Katakana Pro" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Katakana Pro app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Katakana Pro might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Katakana Pro. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Katakana Pro then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Katakana Pro not working

2. Fix Katakana Pro Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Katakana Pro be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Katakana Pro not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Katakana Pro may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
