1. Either way, use this app to learn how to write Japanese!Dislike the fact that when I test my ability to recognize the characters that instead of using sound to the multiple choice it's character to English lexicon.
2. The tightness it requires when writing can be annoying.Great app! Effective at teaching characters, stroke, reading + writing, and at practice/ review.
3. - Practice involving whole words would be really helpful.I like the small, bite-sized lessons and the way that it repeats the way the character is read every time you choose or write it.
4. Please don't change it...Excellent app to practice not only writing hiragana and katakana, but also hearing how to pronounce the characters as you do.
5. I wish I could at least try the practice test once before paying, just so I could see what it's like, but I appreciate that it is a reasonable one-time payment instead of a subscription.I am a beginner with Japanese.
6. XDthis is the best kana practice app I've found, I love it! It is thorough in teaching the stroke order and direction, and reacts stroke by stroke.
7. For example it will ask you to select the katakana character for "Ji" and have shi with dakuten mark and chi with dakuten mark both of which can make the "ji" sound, so which do you choose? The answer: just depends on which the app feels is correct in that moment.
8. Great for a beginner like me I've been on and off with Japanese and i aleays seem to forget my hiragana but thanks to this app it helps me retain what I learned.
9. Keeps me from drifting off and just writing characters in order on autopilot without really processing which ones they are, which I'd been having a little trouble with before.
10. You can choose practice mode as you start off and then test mode to see how much you know and where you need to improve.
11. A great way to supplement your actual writing practice.
