1. It has a nice interface, and it teaches you well with the help of visual, audio accompaniment and reading, but reading is only in English transcription, and it would be very cool if the developer also adds the option to choose: show you words with English transcription or in Korean, because I know Korean letters, and I want to train and remember what these words look like.
2. They could easily add more words like "kettle" and "straw".Great for learning elementary korean vocabulary like food, colors, animals, numbers, etc.
3. It does a fantastic job serving the basic purpose of learning vocabulary by topic through a kind of a timed flashcard memorization game.
4. Memorization with Phonics for the win!I really like this app for learning, the fact that you learn without another language included is an interesting concept and worked well for me.
5. For instance, the Drinks topic has only 7 words but 12 lessons, so the learning pace is glacial.
6. They drill you on listening and reading, but I wish there was a spelling test.I have been trying to use everything available to learn Korean.
7. Romanization form will set you back on learning Korean.
8. Edit: It'd be even better if the alphabet was taught in this format too so you could play in Hangul for a level up instead of rote memorization of the word shape to the item.
9. Reminds me of those learning games I played as a kid that honestly were really effective at locking in new information.
10. This certainly helps with memorizing the basics! I've tried other things but it being in game form helps someone like me who is very into gaming.
11. I am hoping to spend an extended period of time there in the future so I want to know the language at least somewhat to have a decent conversation.
