1. Reliable weather forecasts for astronomers with an emphasis on cloud cover. • International Space Station (ISS) pass-over information. • Location search automatically provides a forecast for your location. • Covers daytime too so also useful for solar observers/imagers. Updated hourly.
2. Frequent hourly updates are important because often the clear spell between showers provides excellent seeing and 30-minutes under a clear sky with a grab-&-go telescopes is pure gold!
3. Also includes regular weather data (wind, rain, frost, temperature, dew point, etc) so perfect for those wanting a detailed weather forecast, without cutesy graphics.
4. The times are precisely calculated for your location and displayed alongside the cloud forecasts so it has never been easier to observe.
5. Did you notice the ISS pass-over information?
6. We have had a lot of fun building and testing Clear Outside and are keen to to develop it further so if you find it useful or have suggestions, please let us know.
1. Am now trying to save locations, and tho it displays my location based on GPS but in saving, is a headache since it never finds any location typed (even London UK!) but knows where I am with GPS enabled, but still demands a location search which has now been useless 4 times as it still doesn't find.
2. Free is nice, but I would be willing to pay for a more polished app.The app location defaults to somewhere in England and there appears to be no way to change this (no settings anywhere!).
3. UPDATE: Thanks to hint from FLO, have been able to save several locations by reediting a generic location.
4. Settings do not allow chg betwn Celsius and Fahrenheit, though living often in Europe am used to CelsiusThis app used to be my favorite, but now all I get is network error messages when I try to look up a new location making it virtually unusable.
5. But the truly annoying issue is that the location defaults to the software creator's headquarters somewhere in Great Britain.
6. Would be great if I could just just SAVE current location under a typed name, but bypass the required search.
7. Used it for a few years, then... the app suddenly decided to ignore my set home location and just defaults to Exeter, regardless of any of my selected locations.
8. The saved location function is un-intuitive, but if you are willing to use your latitude and longitude, it does work well enough.
9. I was able to set a location, but when running the app in full screen, it tends to lock up.
10. The rest of the app looks good, though I didn't really try it because of the location problem.Useful, but dated interface.
11. I can add another location (I live on another continent) but when entering the app it always defaults to England.
