Astrospheric Customer Insights

1. Still love the other features, though.is it possible to add an address/location search function? it would be faster and easier than going to another map app to locate the exact location and then trying to scroll/zoom to it on your map in order to save it as a favorite.

2. haven't tested accuracy yet, but very excited about this.From my experience, cloud cover forecasts are generally correct but are occasionally off by a few hours.

3. I know weather guessing is a tricky business, but better accuracy would be nice.Super specific about temperature and other info.

4. In those instances, app will sometimes update the forecasts correctly in real time but at other times will continue to show me an incorrect real time forecast.

5. 🤷 ♂️This has been my goto app for astronomical weather forecast information for a few years.

6. I especially love the moon phases bc you can plan to go out and see the stars during a new moon, and have the weather info In the same spot.

7. I'm not sure what happened, but for a few months now the cloud forecast has been pretty inaccurate.

8. There have been many times that I didn't bother setting up because the app said we would have heavy cloud cover.

9. My biggest complaint is it's accuracy concerning cloud cover.

10. Yet, here I am at 10:30pm - when the app still says 0% clouds - and I have 70-80% cloud cover.

11. Sure you'll have the odd incorrect forecast but that's with anything involving weather.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Astrospheric Issues

1. Fix Astrospheric Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Astrospheric: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Astrospheric App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Astrospheric" » Open Astrospheric » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Astrospheric » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Astrospheric app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Astrospheric servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Astrospheric" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Astrospheric app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Astrospheric might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Astrospheric. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Astrospheric then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Astrospheric not working


2. Fix Astrospheric Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Astrospheric be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Astrospheric not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Astrospheric may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
