About Resuscitate! App

1. From the AHA Executive Summary ( ): "The newest development in the 2010 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC is a change in the basic life support (BLS) sequence of steps from "A-B-C" (Airway, Breathing, Chest compressions) to "C-A-B" (Chest compressions, Airway, Breathing) for adults and pediatric patients (children and infants, excluding newly borns).

2. The most prominent change is from A-B-C (airway, breathing, chest compressions) to C-A-B (chest compressions first, then airway and breathing).

3. Although the experts agreed that it is important to reduce time to first chest compressions, they were aware that a change in something as established as the A-B-C sequence would require re-education of everyone who has ever learned CPR".

4. Be sure to maintain proper training as there are other important changes to the guidelines in addition to C-A-B.

5. Developed by leading educators and doctors at the University of Washington, it is compatible with the latest recommendations from national organizations. More info at learncpr.

6. The CPR videos that incorporate the latest guidelines issued by the American Heart Association (Oct 2010).

7. Resuscitate! offers instant videos on how to perform CPR, use an AED, and aid a choking victim.
