The Safeway App has not worked for me since August 22, 2022. Ordered multiple items, took 3 hours to find all items, Substitutions, split price with my Mother & submit her portion on EBT & mine on Debit Card.
Order did not process, but, took my Money on my Debit Card, not sure about the EBT. Kept saying Safeway was having Technical Difficulties & to check back. Then, my Order said was on Hold, said I was not charged and to call a Number. I was told again not charged, told hit Check-Out button too many times which locked my Account & IT needed to clear my Cart and Reset my Account & start over. Told would take 24-72 Hours. Of course I hit Check-Out button several times, kept saying Technical Difficulties & to check back. Well, after about 12 Hours my Cart was cleared & while looking at my Bank Account noticed Safeway had charged my Bank Account for the order that never processed. I called them back & they did reverse the Charge & escalated a Ticket with IT regarding my Account not processing correctly, however, assured me that once the Cart was emptied I could re-order my Items. All that happened, the same thing happened, took my Money, did not process my Order. Had to call Safeway back & complain, they claimed would reverse my Payment and again elevate the Ticket with IT which takes 24-72 Hours to resolve, will call me when resolved.
I need the Groceries and could not really wait 72 Hours, so, Uninstalled the App and reinstalled it and tried to process my Order, took my Money, did not process the Order, called Safeway back, they told me to try the Website with her on the phone, same thing happened. She tried to blame my Bank, saying shoes processing error with my Bank, that I need to call them. My Bank told me that is not true, I have no hold on my Account, enough Funds to cover the Charge, they have no Technical Issues, they said Safeway is just passing the Buck & I need to call them back, ask for a Supervisor/Manager, tell them to fix their App/Web Site, not my Bank and to get my Money back immediately.
I spoke with a Manager, she said the same, I have to wait for IT to resolve the Issue, takes 24-72 Hours & I will receive a Call. She said she reversed charges.
Yesterday was 72 Hours and I got no call back from Safeway regarding if the App/Website for my Account was fixed. I called Safeway, they said all my Refunds are done & the App should work. Tried it, same exact thing happened & noticed a Charge from 08/22/2022 that still was not refunded back to me. I called Safeway, spoke with a Supervisor, she said she was putting in an escalated IT Ticket again, I said it needs fixed ASAP, I've already waited 72 Hours. I asked her to also make sure EBT Funds are not being taken from my Mom's account for unprocessed Orders.
This needs fixed immediately & I be notified by Safeway it is, so, I can order my Groceries, my Car has been in the Shop x1 month.
