1. A feed consists of Obituary cards, similar to a drivers license; An obit card consists of the decedent's name, photo and age (if available), the city in which the death took place, and multiple functions for the user.
2. A user can express condolences, send flowers through the funeral home website, view the full obituary, share through email or social media, save to one's own personal memory wall, indicate an intention of attending the funeral or memorial service, or report the obituary for misinformation.
3. For example, if a descendant was born in XYZ city, or got married in XYZ city, or formerly lived in XYZ city, has relatives living in XYZ city, that obituary will show up in a user's feed if they follow XYZ city.
4. Here users will see only obituaries from funeral homes in that city or deaths that have taken place in that city.
5. As funeral homes across America post obituaries to their respective funeral home website, The Obituary App organizes them all into particular cities.
6. The obituary provides an awareness of a day, time and place that a funeral or memorial service might take place.
7. Users must follow at least one city in a feed to populate obituaries.
8. Now, a user can look at all the obituaries posted by multiple funeral homes in one place.
9. We encourage users to place smaller cities in their “Relevant” feed.
10. Users can save multiple cities in either feed in the menu section labeled “Manage Cities”.
11. Users may claim an obituary we post and become the administrator.
